No memories have to be forgotten; as long as you’ve captured them, you can display them in your home with this Smart Picture Frame.

Everybody loves to go out, have a good time and take photos to look back on. What happens with those photos? Most of the time, they sit on your phone for years until you eventually need to clear up storage, and then delete all the images of Joey’s 11th Birthday from 6 years ago. Now, Joey’s birthday is nothing more than a blurry image in your mind. Well, with the Lenovo Digital Picture Frame you can transform those would-be-forgotten memories into art worthy of your mantle. With a 15-inch by 24-inch frame, this smart photo frame is indistinguishable from a regular old photo frame, but it can do a helluva lot more than that.

Lenovo Smart Picture Frame

Able to blend in anywhere in your house thanks to a variety of finishes and colours, Lenovo’s Digital Picture Frame, whether in portrait or landscape, can hang on your wall or sit on a tabletop. It couldn’t be faster or easier to get started either! Simply sync your google photos (or create a google photos account and transfer your photos if you aren’t already a user) and the smart frame now has access to the photos of your choosing. You don’t even have to choose. Just let the AI algorithm generate a collage of photos, ignoring any blurry or grainy ones, and all placed the right way up. Elevate your room and relive your favourite moments with this digital photo frame from Lenovo.

Key Features

Whether you want in black, white, wood, or another one of the various coloured frames you can choose from, this digital picture frame is the perfect addition to any room in the house. At 15” x 24” and with the ability to remove the frame for a sharp, minimalist look, the frame can be customised to fit your room, mood, and decor.

The frame can suit whatever your needs are! Don’t have any space on your dining table? Hang it on the wall. Lacking wall space? Stand it up on a table. It can even be placed in portrait or landscape and adjust the rotation of the photos being used accordingly.

It couldn’t be easier to select and transfer the photos to the digital picture frame. No hour-long upload process or weird app with four reviews you need to download. Transfer photos directly from your phone to the wall with Google Photos.

While it won’t mean much for most people, it’s an incredibly handy (and fancy-feeling) ability of the smart frame. If you aren’t feeling the photo that is currently being shown, you don’t need to pull out your phone or touch the frame to change photos. just wave your hand in front of it.

Watch movies and TV shows, know the weather, take Google Duo video calls, turn on the lights, and set reminders with this Digital Smart frame. It’s not just a display of digital pictures!

Drawbacks

  • Unfortunately, it’s a bit harder for Apple users to get the most out of this Digital Picture Frame. It would be incredibly handy if iOS photos and other systems other than Google Photos could be used, but they cannot. While it shouldn’t be a dealbreaker, as Google Photos is easily accessed and uploaded, it is an unnecessary hassle.
  • Nobody likes visible cords, even for things that everyone knows needs a cord to be powered. For something like this, which is trying to look as much like a regular photo frame as possible, it’s quite annoying to find a way to place the frame to be able to hide it – especially if you plan on placing it on the wall.
  • While the biggest benefit of this frame is the ability to look at your photos and captured memories, sometimes a bit of art is nice too. The art gallery selection that Lenovo has provided is quite lacking. While there are some nice pieces, you’re better off downloading your own.

Our Final Opinion on this Gadget

This isn’t a revolutionary product. There are plenty of similar smart frames available. This one is as good as any of them. While it might not have the included art gallery of some of its competitors, the incredibly easy set-up and upload process more than makes up for it. There’s nothing more annoying than a slow integration, a confusing new app or a slow upload when getting started on a new product. Lenovo’s Smart Frame has none of that.

Whether you’re someone who wants a new photo to be shown every hour or wants a revolving door of five photos you love to be shown at all times, this is a great option for you. It’s simple, fairly priced and so easy to use. If all you want to do is show off photos you have taken, on a beautiful frame in the colour of your choice in whatever room you like, this is a great option for you.
