The Real Invisibility Cloak
Key Points
Scientists are engineering an invisible suit using new technologies such as metamaterials and artificial intelligence
This technology would be used in the future by the army to hide troops and vehicles
A 2.0 Camouflage Gear
Hyperstealth Biotechnology is the name of the company behind that real-life invisible suit. The cloak is made of metamaterials, which are artificial materials with properties that cannot be found in naturally occurring materials. The development of this technology requires the help of artificial intelligence.
Not only for Hiding Bodies

The cloak is paper-thin, can hide the body heat and can potentially reduce shadows up to 95%, it could be used to hide not only persons but as well vehicles and eventually entire buildings from certain viewpoints. This technology hides mechanical and electromagnetic vibrations too, which could make for example a plane or a submarine invisible to radars.
The Invisible Suit is Meant for the Army
So far, the scientists on this project can cloak and make invisible a meter size object and are confident to achieve the same result on bigger objects.
The cloak is not for sale for two reasons: first, this project is still in development and not fully functional yet and second of all, it is partially financed by the army and so is being conceived for military purposes. But it was the case too for the Internet, GPS and microwave ovens and we all have access to them now, we can assume that this technology would be available for all at some point in the future.
