AV Access iDock C20: One Dock, Two Laptops, No Cable Swaps

The AV Access iDock C20 solves the two-laptop desk problem: one work machine, one personal machine, and a single pair of monitors you don’t want to keep re-plugging. It’s a KVM switch and a docking station combined into one aluminum box, so switching between laptops takes a button press instead of a cable swap.

Two full-featured USB-C inputs carry video, data, and power together, so each laptop connects with a single cable. The dock outputs to two monitors over HDMI at up to 4K@60Hz 4:4:4, with support for 2560×1440 at 144Hz and 1080p up to 240Hz for anyone running a high refresh rate setup.

EDID emulation and an automatic PC wake-up function bring switching time down to 2 to 3 seconds, so the standby laptop is already awake and displaying by the time the button click registers.
